We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist needed for a 12
month contract assignment for our nuclear client in Waterford, CT.
Responsibilities include designing and developing project dashboards using Power BI and the interconnection between onsite programs such as SAP, Maximo, and others.
Strong experience in project controls with extensive experience and knowledge in the creation of dashboards in Power BI required.
Nuclear experience mandatory.
SAP and Maximo experience highly desired.
Requirements:
Design and build project dashboards using Power BI, integrating the various program platform feeds used on site.
Responsible for the development and oversight of financial reporting and analysis deliverables using independent judgment and discretion.
Coordinate and develop project estimates for assigned project scopes.
Perform baseline review of project budget/cost estimate at time of initial setup, and upon receipt of any additional PO funding as the project progresses.
Resolve problems with unpaid invoices.
Liaise with client's AP department to ensure receipt and acceptance of invoices ahead of payment due date.
Analyze variances in cost performance Ensure the project team meets expectations for identifying and developing project impacts for any delays or impacts to the project.
Communicate reasons for the variance and propose mitigation plans when needed.
Perform other related duties as required.

Experience:
- An ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in an Accounting/Business/Engineering/ Construction Management (or 5 years' equivalent experience with a construction or project management with financial responsibility.
- Minimum of 5 Years working with Project/Cost Controls; strong knowledge of nuclear project and outage planning and scheduling; excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills; minimum of 10 years' experience.
- Excellent computer skills, presentation skills, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time are required.
- Excellent working knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite software is required.
- Demonstrate a high level of ethical behavior, integrity, and trust.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a working knowledge of client technical manuals and procedures; to pass client specific training and qualifications as required; to communicate effectively with peers, as well as with direct reports; to interface with nuclear site organizations to develop successful problem solving strategies and approaches as required; subject to personnel call out as required in support of nuclear station emergent work requirements; to work overtime, to include shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed; and be able to pass all background and screening requirements for the position, to include drug and/or alcohol screening.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
