Tuesday & Thursday:

00pm Saturday Hours:

00pm (Only until March 24, 2024) Fill-In Hours as needed PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the library building and grounds with responsibility for security of building on evenings and/or weekends.
In the absence of the Building & Grounds Manager, assure proper operation of mechanical and electrical systems in the library.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Opens and closes building according to established procedures.
Sweeps, vacuums and cleans all public areas, work areas, offices and bathrooms.
Maintains library grounds - includes snow removal, lawn mowing and other basic grounds maintenance.
Monitors heating, cooling and ventilation systems.
Responsible for set-up and breakdown of furniture and equipment arrangements for meetings and programs.
Performs minor repair and maintenance work.
Reports on problems or repairs to the Building & Grounds Manager.
All other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM
Qualifications:
(Knowledge, Skill & Ability) Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in building, custodial and grounds maintenance work.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Must be capable of working without direct supervision.
Ability to perform physical tasks with some degree of strength and stamina, some knowledge of custodial duties, and possession of a valid motor vehicle license.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
A least one year of related experience preferred.
